While subtle, some questionable references have many fans speculating
It is widely assumed that Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston got together only after she split from Calvin Harris. However, many speculate that his new song, Ole, refers to the former girlfriend cheating on him.
Some of the lyrics include: “I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend …
“You’ve hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you’ve been going through hell. Left him alone and you booked in a hotel.”
Ole may also reference Hiddleston’s Loki movie character by saying: “Low key you won’t tell none of your friends about me.”
The song, which features the likes of John Newman, is set for release this Friday. The two had recently finished filming its accompanying music video in Mexico.
26-year-old Swift met Hiddleston at the Met Gala back in May, before she and Harris announced they were no longer an item. The former couple had been together for approximately 15 months.
Calvin soon revealed that the breakup was amicable and the two were still on good terms.
“The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect (sic),” he said.
Once the artist announced her romance with 35-year-old Hiddleston, however, Calvin quickly removed all her photos from his social media accounts. Calvin then proceeded to announce that he will no longer date celebrities.
Swift and Hiddleston have since met one another’s parents, and sources say that she is in love with the actor.
