Mel B to join Australian ‘X Factor’

Spice Girls singer Mel B is reportedly set to join the Australian X Factor talent show. The 41-year artist is also a judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, though there is no official word on whether she will perform both gigs simultaneously.

Mel B will be effectively joining the likes of Adam Lambert, Iggy Azalea, and Guy Sebastian. This is also considered a sign of a healthy professional relationship with music mogul Simon Cowell.

An insider shared with The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Mel is a real favourite with Simon. He loves her straight-talking attitude.” The artist had previously appeared as a judge from 2011 to 2012, as well as the British version in 2014.

The news comes after some of the Spice Girls members talked about a possible reunion, making the judge quite the busy star at the moment.

Mel, Geri Horner, and Emma Bunton are reportedly open to get together in celebration of the group’s 20th anniversary. They had previously posted a video thanking fans for their never-ending support over the years, subsequently dropping the big reunion hint along with several concerts.

However, Mel B has since remained secretive about such plans and not much is yet known.

She has previously stated: “You know what? All will be revealed very, very soon. We have a few interesting things that we will be sharing with everybody, or the people that want to know. It’s gonna be very interesting.”

It is also rumored that Mel C and Victoria Beckham are opposed to reuniting, although they may eventually change their minds.
