Isla Fisher happy with family life, does not wish big celebrity status

Isla Fisher says she appreciates spending time at home and doesn’t wish for her acting career to keep her very busy. The 40-year-old actress currently has three children – Olive, Elula, and Montgomery – with husband Sacha Baron Cohen.

Fisher talked about her lifestyle with Metro newspaper, saying: “I’m not in that bracket of hugely successful actresses who get offered amazing parts all the time, which is fine by me because it means I get to stay at home with my family.”

She did, however, successfully combine work with family life by starring in Cohen’s comedy film The Brothers Grimsby. This marked the first time the couple had worked together in a movie and she was reportedly impressed with his comedic skills.

“It was the first time, I had ever worked with my husband and to actually be on set with him was really impressive. He’s a brilliant improviser and I just thought, ‘Oh wow!’ I had the that hashtag proud wife moment. But at the same I didn’t get any jokes. I had to play the straight woman. So he owes me one,” she said.

The actress has also stayed busy with projects that do not involve acting. She had just released a children’s book titled Marge in Charge, which was inspired by her own family life.

Fisher stated: “Marge subverts all the rules. The kids end up babysitting their babysitter. I live vicariously through Marge because, being a mother myself, these days I have to be sensible.”

Fisher had recently talked about living a busy life as she is routinely traveling between California and England.
