Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge design is Beautiful but Uncomfortable to Hold

Samsung has clearly done an excellent job with the design of the Galaxy S6, but what about the Galaxy S6 Edge? From all indications, the device could turn out to be the best Samsung artisanship in a long time when it comes down to mobile devices.

Like the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge was designed from the ground up, and it shows because the new look is a complete departure from what we’ve become accustomed to in the past.

The most striking thing about the Galaxy S6 Edge, is the rounded display that drifts to one edge of the handset, and that is the primary differentiator when compared to the Galaxy S6. The 5.1-inch display, octacore processor, and 3GB of RAM is the same as the Galaxy S6, and that is fine.

What matters here is the design, but how much it matters is something we need to figure out. The rounded display looks good, but what differences does it bring to the table and why should folks pick choose it over the Galaxy S6? It may take a while for us to find out because both handsets won’t hit the market until April 10, 2015.

However, some critics who have given the Galaxy S6 Edge a spin, claims the device feel uncomfortable to hold, and the build quality might not be that good. Right away, it appears many folks might very well go for the standard edition rather than the one with the best looks.

Then again, the Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2,600 Mah battery while the Galaxy S6 will have to contend with 2,550 Mah. Now, that’s not much, but folks who value battery power more than anything else might choose to go with the Edge instead.

As for us, well, we’re no big fans of the Galaxy S6 Edge, but the Galaxy S6 is a whole different story.

By the way, we should mention that the Galaxy S6 Edge itself is also a brazen copy of the iPhone 6 in some aspects of the design.
