The Central Zone led by spinner Chawla won the toss and elected to bat first against South Zone in the finals of the Duleep Trophy being played at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi from October 29-Nov 2, 2014.

South are missing all-rounder Stuart Binny, Karun Nair and Manish Pandey while the Central lost both their spinners Karan Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav.
South Zone are the favorites to bag yet another title to their list of 13 titles. Central Zone have won five trophies.
