The final match of qualifiers would be followed at 8:00 PM local time with Mumbai Indians taking on the Northern Knights. Both the matches would be played out at the same venue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
Things would have taken a different turn if they had won their opening match in the competition. But a defeat against the Lahore Lions has slightly narrowed the path of Mumbai Indians though being placed at the number two spot among the qualifying teams.
Mumbai Indians would have to fight it out as they face a more formidable Northern Knights line up. Be it a win or loss, Northern Knights have already bagged their pass to the group stages with two wins.
