Bangladesh who aims a white wash against the Zimbabwe in the test series has begun the proceedings in style, and they are heading to a very strong position in the first innings of the third test match going on in Chittagong.
At the end of the first day, the hosts are in a very dominating position, and they have scored 312 runs with the loss of just two wickets. Mominul Haq who is two runs away from his half century and Mahmadullah with eight runs are batting for Bangladesh.
Earlier, Bangladesh Captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss, and elected to bat first. The Bangladeshi openers were in full swing, and they showed their class in the batting friendly Chittagong pitch.
Tamim Iqbal and Imru Kayes added 224 runs for the first wicket, and this is Banladesh’s highest opening stand of all time. They broke their own record of 185 runs which they made at Lords in 2010.

Their lead bowlers T Panyangara, E Chigumbura and Sikander Raza failed to pitch the ball in the right spot, and they allowed Bangladesh batsmen to settle in the batting friendly track.
Bangladesh batsmen will be trying to take the score above 500 within the first half of the second day, and it will help them to exert pressure on the visitors.
