The latest addition to the “The Fast and The Furious” series, “Furious 7” is ready to be hit the theatres in the United States on April 3 this year. The film features two of the most powerful muscle cars from Dodge, namely a candy red variant of the 2015 Dodge Charger, a green-black version of the 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T. The movie also features a fully armored 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
In the movie, the Dodge Charger will be driven by Dominic (Dom) Toretto (Vin Diesel), while the two tone Dodge Challenger R/T will be driven in some scenes by Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodrigues), who plays Dom’s girlfriend in the movie. Behind the wheel on the fully armored 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be Tej Parker (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges).
Dodge is riding on the peak of publicity as the release date of the movie approaches. The company has teamed up with Universal Pictures and Atlantic Records for joint promotional activities that involve showcasing Dodge cars in multiple commercials, Dodge cars in music videos from the movie’s soundtrack, and more.
To boast their marketing campaign, Dodge has set up a separate Furious 7 content section on their official website. The special section provides the information about the cars used and the different characters in the movie. The fans can also watch and share the pictures of some action scenes from the movie, which are very trending on social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others.
The movie also features some other cars from Dodge that include the Charger SRT Hellcat, the Viper GTS and ‘other new and vintage’ car models.
The movie created much hype and gained a lot of popularity even before launching, mainly due to the untimely demise of Paul Walker, the lead actor in The Fast and The Furious series, who died in a car crash in November 2013.
