Cam Newton suffers two back fractures in car crash

 Cam Newton, the American football quarterback who plays for Caroline Panthers was injured in a car crash on Tuesday afternoon near the Team’s stadium.

As per reports, Newton has two major fractures in his lower back.

The player has no internal injuries, and this is something which provided a sigh of relief among his team management and co players. The doctors have not revealed the time span which is required for Newton to recover from the injury.

“Cam Newton has two transverse process fractures in his lower back. He has no internal injuries”, confirmed the Caroline Panthers team management in a recently issued statement.

As per the Charlotte Police, the accident happened at 12.30 PM EST. Soon after the crash, both Cam and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital, and both of them are void of any life threatening injuries.

Cam Newton was conscious while he was being taking to the hospital. According to a witness, Newton was in but pain, but alert after the accident.

Jerry Richardson, the team owner of ‘Caroline Panthers’ said that Cam Newton is in good shape, and he hope the player will return to the playground in quick time.

The ‘Caroline Panthers’ will be playing against Bucs on Sunday, 1 PM EST. The absence of Cam Newton will compel the coach to employ veteran Derek Anderson as the quarterback. Earlier, in Week one, the Panthers have defeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a score of 20-14.
