Apply Online at dda.org.in: DDA housing schemes opens for investors

The 2014 housing scheme laid down by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is to start today. Over 25, 000 flats are up for interested buyers and most of them are single bedroom units, which are commonly known as LIG flats.

The flats are being built with sophisticated modern green technology in areas such as Rohini, Dwarka and Narela. Starting today, the registrations for a total of 25,034 units are opening and this will go on until the October, 9th.

After October 9, the draw will be held within a span of 15 to 20 days. Out of these 25,034 flats, 22,627 are two-room sets having one bedroom and a drawing room with a price tag of between Rs 14 to 22 lakhs.

Also, there is a scheme for economically weaker section, EWS wherein 700 flats are available.

Also, the DDA is now allotting 811 old flats at many locations in various categories, and they will all be renovated and look new. The old flats have been quoted at 1.25 percent per annum.

The flats can be purchased by all Indian citizens who are above the age of 18; there are no reservations for the residents of Delhi.

To apply you have to provide a PAN card along with your application. The applicant also should not have any property in Delhi in his or her name, or should not be holding any joint property.

A deposit of Rs. 1 Lakh is required as registration amount. The money is refundable if a flat is not allotted. For EWS applicants the registration number is Rs. 10, 000.

Buyers can take possession of their flats by March 2015.
