Australian model with Down Syndrome to catwalk in NYC Fashion Week

The 18-year-old Madeline Stuart, a model from Australia, who has the Down Syndrome, will catwalk on the ramp of the fashion week for a modern fashion clothing company this fall in the New York Fashion Week.

On Sunday, she posted the information on participation in this glamorous fashion event on Instagram.

According to the sources from Cosmopolitan, Stuart will be modelling clothes for Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation by the brand name FTL MODA.

The company has already featured disabled models in their past shows, and the shows were different in its content.

EverMaya, a popular and fashion handbag company, has also started working with Madeline Stuart and is holding her hands to launch a series of accessories named after her name.

Stuart’s mother Rosanne told the Cosmopolitan that her daughter always wanted to be a model and has always worked hard to get this kind of exposure and success in the fashion industry.

She also acknowledged that she helped Madeline with all the kind of business support to get her such an exposure and stage.

Rosanne believes that her daughter’s charm will lead her to success.

The first model with the Down syndrome to have modelled for the fashion industry was actress Jamie Brewer of “American Horror Story” fame.

She modelled for the designer Carrie Hammer in February and was the first disabled person to the catwalk on the ramps of New York Fashion Week
