Kangana Ranaut, who has so far never worked alongside any Khan, has been roped in as the lead in YRF’s ‘Sultan’ opposite Salman Khan.
The production house has reached out to the actress and offered her the plum project but it’s yet to be seen if Kangana takes up the film.
Sultan will have Salman Khan essaying the role of a boxer and the actor is already prepping up for the film, which rolls right after his Bajrangi Bhaijaan release.
The film has been in news for sometime and there have been multiple names floating in the media as to who would be paired opposite Sallu miyaan in the film.
Earlier there were reports that Deepika Padukone has signed for ‘Sultan’, that will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. But last month, at the press conference of Piku’s success bash, Deepika quashed all rumours.
Kangana who has recently delivered a superhit in the form of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, has been offered the leading role opposite Salman and it needs to be seen if the actress gives a go ahead to the project.
If she does, it would be the first time that Kangana will be seen pairing up with Salman Khan. Recently, she had copped out of Bajrangi Bhaijaan too as the role offered was not meaty.
This year, Kangana will be seen in two films: I Love NY and Katti Batti. While the shooting for the first was completed in 2013 only, Katti Batti is still in the pre-production stage.
