Facebook Inc. (FB) buys shopping search ecommerce webSite ‘TheFind’

Facebook (FB) seems to be on a roll-out in order to take the best advantage of changing market conditions. It had acquired quite a few big names in the past couple of years, and the recent addition in that list is ‘The Find.’ It’s a shopping search website, which will help the social media giant in expanding its reach into the future.

Why The Find:

There is nothing new in Facebook’s approach here. It doesn’t hire people to develop its business, it buys businesses and makes them work for it. Previously, it hired startups like Whatsapp and Instagram to enhance its user base, and the result is in front of everyone. In regard to the latest acquisition, Facebook looks forward to entering in elevating its height in the e-commerce field. The Find allows its users to reach different websites for shopping purposes within moments. It offers product specific service, which saves a lot of time of buyers who wish to select the best offers.

The details of this deal are not yet disclosed, but market experts think that it’s less about e-commerce and more about advertisements. According to Mercury News, Facebook spokesperson was heard saying that Facebook with the help of its newly acquired company can make the advertisements more consumer friendly. He further added that the primary objective of Facebook has always been to connect people with other like-minded people, brands, companies, products and advertisements. With ‘The Find’ on board, Facebook will look forward to continuing this approach in future as well in a better way.

The management of ‘The Find’ was very excited about this deal. Users could see a message “We are joining Facebook!” on the home page of the website. It’s been around ten years since the company has been rendering its services in the market, and the current deal seems to be the highest achievement of it. Anyways, Facebook has always made rightful decisions, and this is one of the best among them.
