Apple Spring Forward event to launch new MacBook Air and Apple Watch

Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) “Spring Forward” event is scheduled for 9th March this year. The Cupertino Giant has many things people can look out for, which includes the new Apple Watch and the new MacBook Air. The live stream-able press event is scheduled at 1pm Eastern at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco.

There have been many rumors and a lot of buzz about the event among Apple fans and admirers, for the much anticipated and awaited launch of the Apple Watch. The watch, which made even the Swiss watchmakers lose their nerve, primarily for the fact that Apple is providing much more than they ever will at a cost that is just too small compared to Swiss watches. The Apple Watch has features that include timekeeping, communication, fitness tracking, navigation, and Apple Pay. Some other highlighting features are the ability of remote controlling movies and music on iPhones or Apple TV.

The Watch comes in three variants, the Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and the Apple Watch Edition. The starting price-tag of the stainless steel Apple Watch is revealed at $349, and according to some reports, the price for the 18-karat Gold Apple Watch Edition may go as high as $10,000. There have been many rumors about the Watch replacing car keys, being able to order food from restaurants, unlocking hotel doors without the keys, and obviously the fitness apps that come with it.

There also have been some rumors about the new MacBook Air, which comes with the 12 inch screen and a higher resolution Retina display. The laptop will have an improved battery life because Apple is now using the low power consuming Broadwell Core M low-power processors from Intel. The new MacBook will be even slimmer and lighter, making it highly portable and attractive than it already it.
