Retired NYPD Policeman Kills both Daughters and then commits suicide

An unfathomable tragedy gripped New York lately. A retired suburban cop hailing from the New York police department shot both of his daughters before opting to kill himself at the family’s home, reported the local media and authorities.

About The Homicide

The 52 year old officer, Glen Hochman, who retired from his role of a White Plains policeman in January, killed his two teenaged daughters, one aged 17 and another 13, shooting them outright, before killing himself and succumbing to death throes. The unfathomable and blood curdling homicide took place in Harrison, a town of the affluent class, located around 15 miles towards the North Eastern part of New York, reported broadcasters and newspapers, citing available police sources.

When It Happened?

The incident took place when Glen Hochman’s wife and an older daughter were away from home. David Chong, the public safety commissioner serving the White Plains Police was dumbfounded hearing about the unfathomable murders! “The department is shocked and horrified by the news of this unfathomable tragedy”, Chong said in a public statement. He further added that prior to his retirement; Chong had served the police force for 22 years.

Cops Avoid Limelight

None of the cops in Harrison could be reached for an official statement pertaining to the confirmation or nitty gritties and associated details relevant and related to this episode of killings.

School Authorities And The Victims’ Friends Shell-Shocked

Louis Wool, the superintendent of the Harrison School released a statement conveying the death of both the young girls, who studied in the schools that came under the purview of Wool.

Wool commented, “In this awful scenario marred by the untimely death of the duo, let all and sundry remember how pride we are because of them and how much help they rendered to others, they were associated with.” The head of Harrison School also offered condolences to the victim-girls. Friends of the two teenage friends were shocked by the news; they vented fear and shock by their comments on Twitter.
