Google and Mattel are teaming up to redefine the classic “view master” toy, powered by Google Cardboard technology. Mattel will sell this device starting in the fall, which will deliver an experience of virtual and augmented reality to kids. The device is expected to cost around $30. Google’s Mike Jazayeri told that their goal is to make VR accessible for everyone.

The Apple CEO Tim Cook is going to attend the White House cyber security summit today at Stanford University. The summit aims at discussing how the private sector and federal officials can better cooperate to keep digital assets safe. Cyber-attacks have overshadowed terrorism as the top threat to the national security last year, according to Intelligence report.

China’s fastest-selling mobile brand Xiaomi is coming to America in coming months with a line of smart wristbands, headphones and other accessories. Xiaomi has been rapidly growing even in the overseas markets through direct, online sales.

Good news for Eurozone economy as the growth picks up with Greece renegotiating its bail out deal with other member countries. The Eurozone’s economy reported surprising 0.3% growth in Q4 2014, with Germany and Spain outperforming with 0.7% growth. Low oil prices and European Central Bank’s anticipated quantitative easing program are also contributing to this growth story.

The release of a much-anticipated movie “The Fifty Shades of Grey,” is also hitting headlines world over. The movie is expected to bring in at least $60 million over the Valentine’s Day weekend. The movie is based on a novel of British writer E.L. James. London Fire Brigade noted that the movie release on Friday could lead to increasing incidents of people being trapped in rings or handcuffs. The LFB has attended nearly 400 such calls since last April, with each incident costing approximately £295 to the taxpayer.
