Spiderman Series Gets an Uplift as Pascal Ties-up with Marvel

Over the past week, two big discussions have been happening at the house of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

One that we heard last week was on the announcement of the end of tenure for Amy Pascal, who would now be moving with her own production house, backed by Sony.

The next is rather a delightful one, for both the Marvel Universe bugs and the lovers of Spiderman.

Although the most loved superhero from the world of Marvel Comics, Spiderman has kept his distance from entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And that was due to the tie-up with Sony pictures much before the acquisition of Marvel characters by Disney.

He was not alone either; the entire X-men characters were left out from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following the bagging of rights by Fox Studios.

Ever since Marvel brought the wowing characters to bring them on a single screen, fans have always let known their upset for the missing out of their web-spinning hero from it.

But now, the bridge for him to spin his webs into the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been constructed.

And that’s been constructed as a farewell gift by Amy Pascal, for the boon will in fact be upon the Spiderman franchisee, rather than for Marvel Studios.

A run into the movie performances would explain why it will be a sort of resurrection to the Spiderman franchisee.

Sony brought a reboot to its franchisee even before reaching a decade mark since the release of the first movie from the previous series.

And as with the frequent appearances, Spiderman – although being the most loved from Marvel Universe – faded away.

Sony had the numbers hit the lowest with the reboot flicks among their Spiderman movies. While at the same time, Disney was making the fortune from their Marvel characters.

Avengers, made a collection over $1.5 billion worldwide making it stand among the list of top grosser movies of all-time.

The stand-alone movies have also made high revenue, with each of them surpassing the revenue of Amazing Spiderman by a far distance.

Although with these facts around, it’s also clear that with whatever be the prevailing scenario, Spiderman is still adored in high numbers and it would only require the right move to hit the jackpot.

And it’s well believed that the new Sony-Marvel tie-up would push the same.

Sony could possibly go forward with another casting for the revamped Spiderman character.

And news is that he would be making his prime appearance under Marvel collaboration in upcoming Captain America: Civil War, which will also have cameos from Iron Man and Black Panther.

But that’s not the big deal we are waiting for, are we? It’s the next edition of Avengers for which we have set our wait.

Avengers: Infinity has been announced for a release in 2018, and the wait could be along one if an announcement dealing with the presence of Spider Man is spelled out in the coming times.
