Chris Pratt dons the cap of Hasty Pudding Man of the Year at Harvard roast

‘Everything Is Awesome’ about Chris Pratt lately, as the enigmatic actor who starred in a couple of high grossed Hollywood flicks last year – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘The Lego Movie’, received the prestigious Hasty Pudding’s Man of the Year accolade by the oldest recognized American Undergraduate Drama Troupe, at Harvard University this Friday.

Gimmicks And Buffoonery

During the roast at Harvard, 35 year old Pratt had a brief performance on the cards. He participated in the typical Hasty Pudding buffoonery, whereby he was asked to portray the character of Andy Dwyer and perform the Johnny Karate gimmick pertaining to ‘Parks and Recreation’. The producers of Hasty Pudding’s ‘Oops!… Madrid It Again’, Joshua Friedman and Zoe Rosenthal teased Chris Pratt for his latest gig on ‘Parks and Recreation’. There were underlying jokes like even if Pratt played a minor character it resulted in the show getting canceled. Further, Friedman added that the movie ‘Deep In The Valley’ was such that audiences sought for refunds after the movie.

The Moment Of Glee

Amidst rolls of laughter, cracking jokes and lampooning each other, all and sundry present enjoyed at the entertaining roast. Towards the end, Pratt received the exquisite traditional Golden-Pudding-Pot. This was followed by applause and sweet remembrances. Pratt said that way back in the fifth grade, he possessed a Harvard sweatshirt. He sounded humorous when he mentioned that the sweatshirt was available for sale for approximately $5 at Kmart, and overtly stated that Harvard has come a long way since!

Prior Engagements

Prior to getting the award, a true Seattle Seahawks’ fan, Pratt had make an appearance at the Super Bowl bet with his best buddy Chris Evans, donning the garb of Marvel-superhero “Star-Lord”. Pratt engages in a myriad of activities as well, for the benefits of the society on a whole! Earlier on Friday, he had visited Christopher’s Haven – a home, based at Boston, which looks forward to upkeep of children fighting against Cancer.

A Witty Dodge

The ceremony that marked the end of a remarkable day for Chris was followed by a news conference, wherein he dodged the question pertaining to playing the role of Indian Jones in near future, with wit and patience.
