Things to know before getting hold of Xiaomi Redmi Note

Some of you out there might be having their names registered for the debut sales of Redmi Note.

And those yet to check in can rush in (http://www.flipkart.com/mi?otracker=_tabs_home) to try their luck, as we do expect a headlong sell-out as it was with the previous smartphones from Xiaomi.

Being briefed here is a list of things to have in mind before buying one.

Redmi Note is the third from Xiaomi, who carried the day previously with their Mi3 and Redmi 1S smartphones.

And it’s the first of smartphones from Xiaomi in the Indian market that falls under the ‘phablet’ series.

Boasting a 5.5 inch screen, Redmi 1S is to go on sales at Rs 8,999; a price for which Xiaomi yet again excels to bring in spellbinding specs (http://www.mi.com/in/note/#param).

On its build, the Redmi Note shows some glittering remarks with its plastic exterior. Though, the worrying factor would be a slight curve that has been induced in the centre of the display.

That’s well enough to let slip your phone when being rested facing down.

The next thing you may want to look at is the larger screen, which is simultaneously the plus and minus. Xiaomi has had displays as good as anything in their previous phones.

But coming to Redmi Note, it indeed packs a better resolution of 1280X720, but larger display means lesser quality than that of the Mi3 or even the Redmi 1S which boasted the same resolution in a 4.7 inch screen.

On the camera front is the same 13 MP and 5 MP camera as in the Mi3, but certain reviews claim the one in Redmi Note to be a bit lacking in its color filtering.

Also what’s being packed in the bigger phone is 1.6 GHz, which was the same that featured in the shorter one from Xiaomi.

But an extra pay of Rs 1000 can sure erase the concern with its octa-core processor and the 4G technology as Xiaomi would also be launching the 4G version for Rs 9,999 soon.

Certainly being listed here are the minor cons which you may just want to consider. But for a price that comes within the 10,000 range, these cons would seem too feeble, for the specs it offers in the rest are unparalleled.

The question now is only whether Redmi Note would be repeating the shattering sales on Flipkart this Tuesday, as it was with the previous ones.
