Twitter now lets you share tweets in private messages

This may be not one of the much anticipated features that we were waiting for. But still, some new cool features have found their place on Twitter, which will be the initial measure for a fresh revamp (https://blog.twitter.com/2014/coming-soon-to-twitter) in the social networking site by next year.

Twitter on Thursday gave access for users to share public tweets in private messages (https://blog.twitter.com/2014/share-a-tweet-through-direct-messages), or direct messages as Twitter terms them.

With the new feature, users can share public tweets to their followers on private message, which can be viewed within the messages by the recipient.

Private sharing of tweets can be carried out from multiple platforms. People logged in through web or TweetDeck application can have their DM tweet sharing accessed with the More button appearing alongside the tweets. Android and iOS app users can long press the tweet to pop the option of “Share via Direct Message”

The new feature will only be kick-starting some of the handy perks that will be face-lifting the social networking platform. One among those is the availability of older tweets in direct searches.

Previously, users were given access to only the recent tweets in the search option, which now will be filled with tweets that dates back even to the time of origin.

There is also the new video edit feature that will be brought in to Twitter by the first half of next year. The feature will let users to capture, edit and share videos natively on Twitter, thus by skipping the needs of relying on short video providers like Vine.
