Nokia N1 Android tablet review, price and features

Nokia is in no mood to let its brand name fade into oblivion. At the Slush 2014 conference, the Finland based company announced the new N1 (http://n1.nokia.com/en) tablet, boosting the Nokia brand after handing over its smartphone division to Microsoft a few months ago.

The debutant has been subject to allegations of being an Android-clone of the iPad Mini 3. But further insight does reveal the efforts of the Finnish giants to regain stronghold in the mobile technology arena, for sure.

Sebastian Nystrom, head of technological unit at Nokia, has asserted that the tablet will feature as the initial step to make way for a return of the brand to the smartphone world in the coming years. Check the official site for all the info.

The 7.9 inch tablet in is built on a sleek all-aluminum design and runs the latest Google OS, Android L. However, N1 tablet will be featuring the Nokia Z launcher which will add a smart touch to its home interface.

The tablet features a 64-bit Intel Atom quad-core processor that is clocked at 2.3GHz and packs 2GB RAM. The 7.9 inch screen is lit-up by a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with protection from Gorilla Glass 3.

N1 offers 32 GB on its on-board storage space, which is however not expandable. It also comes with rear and front cams of 8 MP and 5 MP respectively. Power demands are met by the 5300mAh battery in the device

Another significant feature is its support for the revolutionary Type-C connectors, making it the first of the devices to embrace the reversible technology. The device will be landing in China in February next year, where it will be sold at a price of $250 along with added taxes.

The device will gradually making its entry to the rest of the world, with Russia and some other European countries to welcome the device after it is lapped up in China.
