‘Kill Dill’ movie review and box-office collections report

Bollywood is yet releasing another badland kind of drama with Yash Raj Films’ “Kill/Dil” that opens this Friday, November 14, 2014.

“Kill Dil” is another drama that is set in the world of goons and guns, and will see actors like Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles.

For many, the main highlight is still Govinda, who will be seen on the screen after a long hiatus in the role of an antagonist.

The movie tells the story of two contract killers, Tutu (played by Ali Zafar) and Dev (played by Ranveer Singh) who work for Bhaiyaji (Govinda). Things take a ugly turn when Dev falls for Disha (played by Parineeti).

“Kill Dil” remains an important film for Yash Raj clan, who had a mixed year so far. While “Gunday” did good business, “Bewakoofiyan” and “ Dawaat-e-ishq” failed to click with the audiences.

The movie also marks the return of director Shaad Ali after a long time. Musician trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed songs for the movie.

Given Yash Raj is distributing the movie and it is the solo release of the week, the screen count of “Kill Dil” should be more than 1,500.

With Ranveer and Parineeti’s popularity, this goon drama is expected to open with at least 45-50% occupancy.

A report on KoiMoi suggested that the movie will get a decent weekend of Rs. 30 crores.

The first day collections of “Kill Dil” should be more than Rs. 7 crores.
