Mitchell Marsh and Steve O’Keefe are expected to make their Test debuts for Australia today in the 1st ODI against Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match will be played from Wednesday, Oct 22-26, 2014 from 11:00 am Pakistan time.

This is going to be the first Test that these two teams will be playing in Dubai.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Follow the PAk vs Aus 1st Test live score here.

Last season these two teams played two Tests in the UAE which were both won by the Aussies. The first Test was won by Australia in just two days!

Pakistan has won just one Test against Australia since 1995! This time they have a good chance of winning a Test and also the series if they play to their potential.

The Dubai pitch will also assist the Pakistani players as there is very little or no grass on the track.

If the results of the T20 and ODI series is anything to go by, the pitch is expected to help both the bat and ball.

For viewers in Pakistan, PTV Sports will also be live streaming the match at its official website.

Australia skipper Michael Clarke is confident his players will stand up to the rough weather conditions.

He said, “I think it’s the slow wickets. I think that’s our greatest challenge, the fact that the wickets are so much slower than what we’re used to in Australia. It’s being able to adapt to that, whether we’re bowling or we’re batting.”

The temperatures are forecast to be around 34C for almost all five days.

The probable line-ups are as below:

Pakistan Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Asad Shafiq, Sarfraz Ahmed, Zulfiqar Babar, Mohammad Talha, Yasir Shah and Rahat Ali.

Australia: Chris Rogers, David Warner, Alex Doolan, Michael Clarke, Steve Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle, Steve O’Keefe and Nathan Lyon.
