Indian Super League 2014 Schedule & Star Sports Live Streaming Info

The inaugural season of Indian Super League has kick started with a bang on October 12, 2014.

This is an exclusive Football League in India, which will have the finals on December 20, 2014 and all the matches will be played across 8 stadiums of the country.

Indian Super League had a huge opening ceremony at Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata on Sunday, where some of the biggest names of Bollywood performed at the event.

The first match was between Atletico De Kolkata (ATK) and Mumbai City FC (MUM), where the former won by three goals at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on October 12. Check the complete schedule here.

ISL 2014 will be first league to be broadcasted on eight channels and five different languages.

The live broadcast of the matches will be offered by STAR India on six different channels. While STAR Sports 2 and Sports HD will be offering standard and high definition broadcast in English, other channels broadcasting the matches will be Star Sports 6, Asianet and Jalsa.

The participating teams for the year 2014 are Atlético De Kolkata, Chennaiyin FC, Delhi Dynamos FC, FC Goa, FC Pune City, Kerala Blasters FC, Mumbai City FC and Northeast United FC.

During the inaugural event, ISL Founding Chairperson Nita Ambani formally launched the league, while actors like Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra were seen performing.

Also seen at the event was West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The event also saw a number of guests, including cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, actor Amitabh Bachchan, Atletico de Kolkata’s co-owner Sourav Ganguly, actor Aditya Roy Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.
