Well known teen star Amanda Bynes has arrived in Los Angeles, where she has been placed in involuntary psychiatric care.
The development was confirmed by the attorney of her family, reported a post of Reuters.
The 28-year old actress has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in recent times. Apart from the long list of legal woes, her behavior in the public has been odder than ever.
Tamar Arminak, the family attorney for Amanda Bynes, has said that the actress has been placed in involuntary psychiatric hold.
Under the law, she may be under detention for more than 72 hours for mental health evaluation.
Bynes had hours before alleged that her own father had touched himself in front of her and also asked her for sex. She was quick to retract the claim with a tweet, blaming her brain.
“My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me,” Bynes tweeted.
Amanda Bynes is best known as a teen star when she was 13 and had her own show on the Nickelodeon.
She was previously also placed in psychiatric care after she had started off a fire just in front of a home in Los Angeles.
On October 5, she was arrested in Los Angeles on charges of driving under influence of drugs, the report on Reuters further said.
Back in June, New York judge dismissed a case filed last year against the actress for possessing marijuana and other things.
