Video: Tiger Kills a man in Delhi zoo

Bizarre things keep on happening in the country every now and then. A white tiger attacked a 20 year old man in the Delhi zoo today, September 23, 2014 who apparently fell into its enclosure and became a prey to the probably hungry tiger.

As per the witnesses, Maksood fell 18 feet into the dry enclosure because of the low fencing at around 1 pm. Soon after his entry into the pit they saw the tiger attacking his prey for the day and the poor victim could do nothing to safeguard himself.

Many saw the incident taking place, some even took pictures which show him pleading with his hands folded in front of the merciless animal.

As per the zoo authorities, Director Amitabh Agnihotri said, “He crossed the barrier of the enclosure and jumped in.” Further he also added that the enclosures are safe and no visitor could cross the moat without crossing the barrier.

After the attack, the body of the victim was lying there for two hours and the tiger was scared to go into his defined cage where he stayed thereafter.

Though Maksood was at fault for crossing the barrier owing to which the incident took place, the zoo authorities showed complete insensitiveness on the whole issue.

People who were present on the scene also said that the zoo guards spent too much time shooing the people away when they were supposed to save the poor man inside.

Endangered species, the white tigers are no doubt an asset to our country.
