The maiden episode of Indian controversial reality show “Bigg Boss 8” sparked off on Sunday September 21, 2014 with a big bang. The makers sprung a surprise as they hoped in Sonali Raut, the actress who starred in the Himesh Reshammiya starrer “Xpose”.
Sonali was in the limelight much ahead of the release of “Xpose” when she was a part of the slap controversy that also involved co- star Zoya Afroz.
“Bigg Boss 8” has an interesting lineup for the current season and had a sparkling opening night where we saw Host Salman Khan take his role yet again, and he did it in much style.
Apart from item numbers and standup comedy, the first episode also saw quite a few selfie sessions.
Among the contestants introduced on the first day include Karishma Tanna, Sonali Raut, Upen Patel, Arya Babbar, and Diandra Soares.
Other stars will be seen on the show include actress Minissha Lamba, Puneet Issar, gay contestant Sushant Divgikar, Praneet Bhatt, Deepshikha Nagpal, Sukriti Kandpal, Soni Singh, Natasa Stankovic and Gautam Gulati.
Salman was all decked up for the event as a pilot and kept the fun going as he welcome inmates to the house. Present at the event was also Elli Evram. In quite his own style, Salman compared Siberian model Natasa Stankovic with Elli and took a few selfies.
Among the controversial statement on the first day, it was Arya Babbar who said he is going to miss sex and pizza the most in the house.
