Google Android One Phone Price in India, Review and Features

Google has finally launched the first family of Android One phones in India on September 16, 2014 in association with Indian manufacturers Micromax, Karbonn and Spice.

Google has been vocal about the initiative that aims to offer high end smartphones to people around the world.

The new phones, Karbonn Sparkle V, Micromax Canvas A1, and Spice Dream Uno, are up for sale with respective retail partners on the web and is expected to be available for retail selling from October.

The Karbonn Sparkle V is selling exclusively on SnapDeal in colors like Mild Grey, Wild Red, Magnum Blue, and Pearl White for a price of Rs. 6,399.

Spice on the other hand has tied up with Flipkart to sell the Dream Uno in black and white colors for a price of Rs. 6,299.

As for Micromax, the new Canvas A1 is available in Black and White color for sale only on Amazon for a price of Rs. 6,499. In fact, Amazon had gone out of stock for the new model right before midnight.

All the models powered by Google are running on Android 4.4 KitKat and will get the Android L update first. The hardware specifications are almost same and important for the Indian market according to the tech giant. Common features include microSD card slot, dual SIM card slots, and a FM radio tuner.

Most of the Google services like Google Maps, YouTube, Gmail, Google Search, and Google Translate are preloaded on the new phones.

All Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, and Spice Dream Uno come with a 4.5-inch IPS FWVGA. The phones are powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and have 4GB of inbuilt storage and 1GB of RAM. All models come with 5-megapixel rear camera and 2MP front camera.
