2014 Champions League (CL) T20 Schedule, TV telecast and live streaming info

The T20 cricketing action will be returning to full swing after a short break, with four Indian cities all geared up for the Champions League T20 trophy. Hyderabad, Mohali, Raipur and Bengaluru would be serving as venues for the firepower cricketing action starting from the 13th of this month.

The inaugural match would be played on the 17th at Hyderabad with the reigning IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders taking on the Chennai Super Kings.

Ahead of the inaugural match will be the qualifiers, which would include the current Champions League champion Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians will be sharing the qualifier lay out with Northern Knights of New Zealand, Southern Express of Sri Lanka and Lahore Lions of Pakistan.

The qualifiers include the title holders of the domestic T20 league from the respective nations, other than Mumbai Indians who finished fourth in the last IPL.

Star Sports will be telecasting the CLT20 live in India, Ten Sports and PTV Sports in Pakistan, Star Cricket in Honk Kong, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Nepal.

The qualifiers would be held from September 13-16 with each team facing each other, starting with the Northern Knights encounter with Southern Express at Raipur on the 13th. The top two placed team from the qualifiers would be entering the group stage, which has been split into two groups of five teams each.

Group A would be featuring Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Dolphins of South Africa and Perth Scorchers of Australia, along with one team from the qualifier.

Kings XI Punjab, Hobart Hurricanes of Australia, Cape Cobras of South Africa and Barbados Tridents of West Indies have been placed in the Group B to be joined by the second team from the qualifiers.

The round robin format will (http://www.clt20.com/schedule) then be carried through in the group stages to decide the final four. The Group A winner would be taking on the runner ups from Group B and the Group B winner would face the Group B runner ups.

The Group stage matches will be played over a span of two weeks from September 17th-30th. Hyderabad would be hosting the two semifinals which would be taking place on October 2nd and it will be followed by the final on October 4th at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

A total of 29 matches would be played, including the qualifiers, to decide the winners of the 2014 edition of the Champions League T20, for which a total prize money of 6 million USD has been allocated by the CLT20 Governing Council.
