As per recent reports, the results of the 2014 Civil Service Examinations will be declared shortly, and we can expect it at any time even though no official date has been confirmed by authorities.

This year, a total of 9, 44, 926 had applied for the examination, and out of this, 6,80,455 downloaded the admit cards.

Almost 4.5 lakh people attended the examinations, and this was way higher than the count of 2013 where the nation witnessed 3,24,101 candidates writing the preliminary exams.

The preliminary examination was much of the same like any other competitive exam, and it consists of two papers of 200 marks each.

The paper I is ‘General Studies’ and the paper II is ‘General Aptitude’. Each wrong answers will bear negative scores.
