Awaited Telugu movie “Rabhasa” starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr released on screens down south and across the world on August 29, 2014 to good reviews.
The movie stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr. in the leading role, along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subhash, who play the other pivotal parts.
“Rabhasa” is an out and out Telugu masala fare that blends in high levels of humor, romance, emotions together. Yet again, NTR will be seen romancing Samantha in the movie.
Released on the eve of Vinayaka Chathurthi, the screen count of “Rabhasa” is close to 1,200, which is decent to get the cash boxes ringing at the theatres.
What goes against the movie is the story and zone, which is quite NTR, but that should be a bonanza for his fans waiting for the release. Both Samantha and Praneetha have done their bit offering the right glam quotient.
Directed by Santosh Srinivas, “Rabhasa” has music by S. Thaman, and NTR himself has sung a tune for this entertainer.
In terms of weekend business, the movie should make the most money from Nizam and Andhra regions, where the NTR wave is strong.
Given that NTR’s last movie “Ramayya vasthavayya” didn’t fare well, the hopes with this flick is high.
The 1st day collections of “Rabhasa” should be more than 10 crores, given his last release “Baadshah” scored Rs. 9.25 crore on the first day.
With more releases lined up in the coming weeks, it remains to be seen on how “Rabhasa” works for NTR.
