The two famous Malayalam cinema actors, Fahad Fazil and Nazriya Nazim tied the knot today, August 21, 2014 at an intimate wedding in the outskirts of the city.
The two worked on a movie together and grew fond of each other. They were engaged earlier this year.
Not a big affair, the invitation to the ‘nikah’ was extended to relatives, some close friends and a few biggies from the film industry. The entry to the event was only by the invitations so many fans and most of the media were left disappointed.
Though the bride and groom had already met and were all in for the alliance, parents of the couple have held that it is an arranged marriage and has taken place after the consent of the two families.
Both the stars have had a rough beginning in their careers but have been able to stabilise things. Fahad started his career with a not so popular film, ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’ which was directed by his father, Fazil.
Soon enough he was able to establish his image in the industry by giving a couple of hits and bagging away awards in his second innings and won critical appreciation for a variety of roles.
Some of his outstanding works include, ‘Akam’, ‘Chaappa Kurishu’, ‘22 Female Kottayam’, ‘Diamond Necklace’ and ‘Annayum Rasoolum’.
On the other hand, Nazriya started her career in 2006 as a child artist with the Mammootty film `Palunku,` directed by Blessy.
She has been a great TV anchor and has also delivered some powerpact lead roles in movies like ‘Neram’ and ‘Naiyaandi’.
