Sensing good success and keeping track with Xiaomi, Asus has made an announcement of launching 10,000 units of the newly launched ZenFone 5 smartphone for sale, exclusively on Flipkart on August 9, 2014.
The Zenfone 5 has been launched by Asus in both 8GB and 16GB variants.
Since morning, Flipkart search for the models showed “out of stock”, asking users to send their email address to know the alerts on the availability.
The ZenFone 5 is priced sleekly at Rs 9,999 for the 8GB, and the other 16GB variant has been priced at Rs 12,999.
The Zenfone range has been a sweeping success for the company, which has claimed to have registered sale of 40,000 units within four days of launch in India.
Asus ZenFone 5 has been placed conveniently in the market, offering better specs than Zenfone 4 and higher-end Zenfone 6.

The model, for both variants, comes with a 5-inch screen and 1280 x 720 pixel IPS display. The rear camera is decent at 8MP, while the front facing camera is basic at 2MP, meant for video calling.
ZenFone 5 is powered by 2GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor, which is the same as that of Zenfone 6, upping the expectations on its performance. The internal storage for both 8GB and 16GB variant can be increased using a microSD card up to 64GB.
For the price, it competes directly with the Motorola Moto G, which saw a price cut recently after Xiaomi made its thunderous entry in the Indian market with Mi3.
