‘Entertainment’ movie review and box-office collection prediction

Bollywood film “Entertainment” starring Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to get a wide release worldwide on August 8, 2014.

Apart from the lead actors, Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia, there are veterans like Mithun Chakraborty, Johnny Lever, Krishna Abhishek, while Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood would play the villains.

Promoted as a “Woof” story, the plot revolves around the dog named “Entertainment”, who has been declared the heir of property by Akshay’s father! What follows is a romantic and comic turn of twists, where Akshay tries his best to defeat the dog.

Directed by debutant duo Sajid-Farhad, the movie has been produced by Ramesh S. Taurani of Tips films along with Jayantilal Gada. The movie was earlier titled as “It’s Entertainment”, which the makers have changed to “Entertainment”.

For the first time in a movie, the name of the Dog “Junior” will be appearing ahead of Akshay Kumar.

The screen count for “Entertainment” is not yet confirmed, but should be more than 3,000. With Salman Khan Starrer “Kick” going strong at the box office, the Akshay Kumar starrer may have to suffer some dent.

The first day collections of “Entertainment” should be anywhere more than 10 crores, given the large level promotions that have been done. The movie needs to get a strong word of mouth to continue impressively over the weekend.

With a “Dog” being portrayed as the hero, many of the animal circles have expressed their happiness over the trailer, which was revealed by Union Minister and animal activist Meneka Gandhi herself.
