Pak vs SL 1st Test 2014: Ten Cricket, PTV Sports live streaming info & score

For the first test that sparked off on August 6, 2014 at Galle International Stadium, Pakistan shined back to action on the first day, much thanks to Younis Khan, who remained on the line at 133.

Misbah-ul-Haq had chosen to bat, and Pakistan soon found itself out of control with both openers leaving within the first six overs.

Much to the thanks of Younis Khan, the team revived as he continued action all by himself to score that massive century.

At 19 for 2, Pakistan probably had it all wrong, till the time Younis and Azhar Ali revived the game. Younis teamed up well with skipper Misbah and Asad Shafiq.

Sri Lanka will be happy with Rangana Herath who did manage to get the Pakistan skipper and Azhar Ali, but couldn’t get hold of Younis, who remained unstoppable. Also for the home team, Dhammika Prasad was in form.

Azhar did his part of the struggle, but had some great cover drives fours worth checking for. While Prasad did maintain the pressure, the boundaries did help Pakistan gain some momentum.

It’s not surprising to see Younis take the time he needs, but he keep using his sweep action to ensure the spinners did feel the heat.

Dilruwan Perera must have checked on those successful runs in consecutive deliveries. With Parera, it was 48 off the 43 balls for Younis. When Younis was at 68, Mahela Jayawardene got hands on the catch, but sadly dropped the same.

Shafiq came in much later but didn’t spare the bowlers with the bad deliveries by any teams. For Pakistan, the rotating strike remained one of the highlights of the day.

At the end of the day, it was Shafiq at 55* and Younis at 133*, with the total score at 261 for 4 for Pakistan.
