A handful of America’s most popular top-shelf handsets have been slashed in price to just $99.99 at Verizon, including the mighty LG G3 and the iPhone 5S.
Verizon has introduced a rather generous deal for anyone interested in taking home the iPhone 5S, or any of a few other current-gen flagship phones. Pick up the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3, or HTC One M8 on-contract before the end of the week and you’ll be looking at an outlay of just $99.99, as opposed to the usual $199.99.
You may have rightly noted that the LG G3 doesn’t quite fit into the same category as the others in terms of hardware and general prowess – it’s undoubtedly the bargain of the three. Nevertheless, recent iPhone 5S performance has shown that the soon-to-be outgoing device is still hugely popular with the punters and at less than $100 is a steal in its own right.
The whole discount shindig comes to an end as of July 27 so there’s not a great deal of time left to take Verizon up on their offer. Some are holding out for a raft of iPhone 5S price cuts around the time the iPhone 6 makes its first appearance in the early fall, but if the new-gen Apple flagships debut with the higher price analysts expect, discounts on the 5S and 5C might not be as generous as hoped.
Speaking of which, the iPhone 5C is also on special offer right now on Verizon for a price of just $49, which is again a 50% cut. This and the rest of the top-end devices mentioned must be taken with the usual two-year service agreement, but this is hardly a shocker.
