The new 565BHP Aston Martin Roadster looks set to deliver over 200MPH with the top down – price options and launch dates are yet to be confirmed.
Aston Martin has lifted the lid on a new roadster, which is said to be the iconic automakers fastest and generally most jaw-dropping to date. And by the looks of the 2015 V12 Vantage S Roadster alone, it’s destined to break more than a few hearts.
They said it’s quick and they really meant it – with a 565BHP 6-liter V12 under the hood and a zero to 60MPH time of 3.9-seconds, this 201MPH beast is the kind of thing both dreams and nightmares are made of.
“The V12 Vantage S Roadster is the mechanical embodiment of this company’s exceptional spirit,” said director of design for Aston Martin, Marek Reichman.
Drivers are treated to Track, Sport and Normal modes, which have their own uniquely wonderful impacts on exhaust noise, speed of gear changes and the responsiveness of the throttle. Aston Martin also confirmed that the new 2015 V12 Vantage S Roadster will feature what it calls an “auto-shift manual” gearbox.
Oh, and it’s probably worth mentioning that it’s pretty enough to make a man weep.
