Honda Civic Tops Table for November Sales – Toyota Corolla Takes Silver

Honda, or more specifically the Civic compact, enjoyed a stellar month in November and once again took the title for most sales in its segment of any in the US. Having chalked up an impressive 26,291 units sold, the Honda Civic even managed to outpace the mighty Toyota Corolla with its 22,434 sales.

November was therefore the second consecutive month in which the Corolla and Civic place second and first respectively, which also remains the position of the two market-leaders in terms of annual sales to date.

As of the month’s close, the Honda Civic had sold an impressive 307,180 units in total, while the Toyota Corolla fell slightly behind with a still-admirable 279,618 units sold.

Bronze-medal position was as largely expected taken by the Chevy Cruze, which amassed a solid 18,200 sales in total for the month Following in fourth was the Hyundai Elantra – one place ahead of its prior position with decent sales of 16,751 vehicles. Falling one place to fifth was the Ford Focus and its 15,239 unit sales,

In annual rankings, the Chevy Cruze is in third position with 230,062 sales, the Hyundai Elantra takes fourth with 226,220 and the Ford Focus comes in fifth with 219,001 sales.

Bringing up the rear, the Volkswagen Sportwagen and Jetta managed a total of 12,417 unit sales combined to secure sixth position for November, the Nissan Sentra took seventh with 11,664 unit sales and the Mazda3 followed one place behind in eight with its 7,756 units sold.
